Join us for a Mayoral and City Council candidate forum focusing on making Bellingham a more affordable, sustainable, and equitable community. We will be hearing from candidates as they answer questions about access to housing, ending systemic racism, environmental justice, reducing carbon emissions, and ensuring diversity and equitable decision-making at City Hall.

We’ll be at Options High School in the Sunnyland neighborhood. Doors open at 5:00, forum starts promptly at 5:45 pm. Mark your calendar! Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

The forum will be moderated by Ceci Lopez, a professor at the Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies, board member at Bellingham Community Food Co-op, and a Fellow at the Washington Leadership Institute.

This forum is co-hosted by Kulshan Community Land Trust, RE Sources for Sustainable Communities, Whatcom Human Rights Task Force, HomesNOW Not Later, Whatcom Housing Alliance, 350 Bellingham, Walk-Bike-Bus Bellingham, Habitat for Humanity, and community leaders and equity specialists.

ASL Interpretation will be provided. For any other accessibility needs or accommodations, please reach out to Geneva Blake at genevamblake@gmail.com.
