Basket Making With Weeds—Two Hoop Style

Learn how to make use of your garden trimmings, woody waste or invasive plants to create beautiful and functional baskets.

First session will cover local materials suitable to weaving, how to sustainably harvest them, curing and reconstitution of materials, weaving methods for round or flat materials, and creation of a two-hoop style basket with integrated handle. Second session will cover reconstitution of materials and weaving a two hoop-style basket to take home.

Ages 13 and older.

1:00—4:00 p.m.: Hands-on basket weaving. $50
