Auditions for Bellingham’s most popular historical horror series, Bellingham Terror, are being held at the SPARK Museum on May 17 at 6:30 p.m. Created by Bryna and Riley Sweeney, Bellingham Terror is a radio drama airing on KMRE 102.3 FM and is set in 1936 Bellingham.

“We are very excited to begin casting Season Two,” said co-creator and star Bryna Sweeney. “This next season we dive into some of the horrifying and shockingly true history of Whatcom County.” She notes that episodes in Season Two will involve the Klu Klux Klan, the treatment of Chinese immigrants, the secret history of the Roeder Home and a carnival.

Season One of Bellingham Terror began broadcasting in May of 2016 and since its debut has received praise from listeners across the United States, with thousands of fans streaming the series online at www.bellinghamterror.com.

“Our goal was to create a series that sounded and felt like a part of Bellingham history, but with a supernatural flair,” said Sweeney. “Take the witty banter of the ‘Thin Man’ movies, added in a little of the ‘Twilight Zone’ and set it in depression-era Bellingham. That’s Bellingham Terror.”

Auditions are open to amateurs and professionals. Actors should come prepared to tell a short story about their life but do not need to have anything memorized.
