16th Annual Children’s Literature Conference

Western Washington University will host five award-winning children’s and young adult book authors and illustrators from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 at Western’s Performing Arts Center as part of Western’s 16th Annual Children’s Literature Conference. The conference brings together teachers, librarians, readers and writers to celebrate children’s literature and reflect on how children’s books shape the experience of growing up. This year’s speakers include: Candace Fleming, Eric Rohmann, Barbara O’Connor, Neal Shusterman and Jerry Pinkney.
Registration opens on Oct. 17 and is available through the conference website at wwuclc.com. The cost to attend is $175 with an early bird rate of $125 available through Jan. 16. Discounts are available for students, para-professionals, retired teachers and Western employees.
