Peoples Bank is pleased to announce the highly anticipated return of the Great Peoples Bank Pig Search, an engaging community initiative designed to bring fun and financial empowerment to residents across Washington State. Beginning August 29, 2025, the event will feature the placement of 500 piggy banks, each containing $10 in cash, hidden near the Bank’s 23 branch locations.

This unique campaign, previously highlighted on KIRO 7 News, demonstrates Peoples Bank’s continuous dedication to community involvement and financial literacy. Participants do not need to be customers of Peoples Bank to join the search or enter the grand prize drawing.

In addition to the piggy banks, Peoples Bank will award a $1,000 grand prize to one randomly selected participant. Entry to the giveaway is open to all Washington residents via an online form available here, with submissions accepted from August 29 through September 1.

Piggy banks will be hidden in publicly accessible areas near branch locations, including parks, green spaces, and local landmarks. Participants are encouraged to share photos of their discoveries on social media or submit them with their entry form.

Kamyar Monsef, Chief Retail Officer of Peoples Bank, shared his enthusiasm about the event:

“The Great Peoples Bank Pig Search is more than a giveaway—it’s a celebration of community and connection. We’re proud to bring this tradition back and look forward to seeing families, friends, and neighbors come together in the spirit of fun and discovery. We truly enjoy teaching children about the value of saving and showing them that managing money can be both fun and rewarding.”
