Submitted by the Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce

In June 2020, Whatcom Unified Command supplied the local chambers of commerce and other business organizations 100,000 disposable masks for distribution to the business community. These masks are the disposable blue masks that have become a normal visible item in our society over the past few months. This supply is expected to be claimed quickly.

Allocations

The allotments to businesses will be generally based upon a supply of 10 masks per employee per company with a minimum supply of 50 masks.  The maximum is tentatively set at 500 masks per company during this initial distribution with special consideration given to higher volume customer businesses, like retail shops and restaurants.

Availability

-We will be using the allocated amounts above to help get these to as many businesses as possible.
-These will be on a first come first served basis and supplies are limited.
-These will be distributed to chamber members and nonmembers alike.
-No preference will be given on the basis of membership or association.

Costs

These are being supplied by Whatcom Unified Command. There is no cost to the business recipients.
