As we all know, the COVID-19 crisis is changing rapidly. With the recent “Stay at Home” order from Governor Inslee and to best serve the needs of our entire community, we are joining forces with the Whatcom Unified Command Donations Branch and directing donations for all items to WUC for distribution to the healthcare and social organizations in Whatcom County. We will no longer be accepting donations at the Grabow Therapy & Wellness Center as previously communicated.
Please see this detailed list of current needs and the location and hours for dropping donations. Please note that although not listed, we have confirmed with WUC that they are accepting hand-made sewn masks. Please use these instructions and video to create our preferred design. If you have already fabricated masks using a different design template, you may donate those as well. Please pre-shrink fabric prior to fabrication of the mask.
The drop-off location is 4233 Guide Meridian, Suite 101, Bellingham (just south west of the intersection of Guide Meriden and Kellogg). Heads up: The traffic dividers in this area make it difficult to navigate.
For the remainder of this week, through Sunday, March 29, WUC DROP OFF TIMES are limited to 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day. This schedule will change as needs increase or decrease. Questions can be directed via email to WUC_Donations@co.whatcom.wa.us. Dropping PPE supplies off is permitted under the exception provisions of the governor’s “Stay At Home” proclamation.
