Women in Aviation: From Passenger to Pilot with Leslie Czechowski @ Whatcom Museum, Old City Hall

Women have played important roles in the world of aviation throughout the twentieth century. While many people know Amelia Earhart, there are other women who have made big impacts on the development of aviation. Join us as we listen to Leslie Czechowski from the Seattle Museum of Flight Speakers Bureau talk about these women and the important role they played in the development of aviation. The lecture will cover everything from the first stewardess, to the first American woman to earn a pilot’s license, women in Air Racing, the first American woman in space, and more. Co-presented by the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Wash. and in conjunction with the Whatcom Museum’s exhibition, “Firsts in Flight: A Hidden History”.
