Winter months are some of the busiest and culturally richest times in First Nation villages up and down the Northwest Coast of British Columbia and Washington State. Join Sharon Eva Grainger for a pictorial celebration of potlatches held during the fall and winter of 2014–2015. Planning, preparation, and the celebration of each Potlatch become significant events in each village. Against a backdrop of magnificent natural beauty, it is easy to understand the richness and drama that is deeply woven into the daily lives and culture of all First Nations. Program sponsored by Friends of Island Library, refreshments served and donations welcomed.
