Sports Shorts – An Evening of Outdoor Adventure Short Films Directed by Women

An evening of outdoor adventure short films directed by women with food and fitness-related activities. Start with a bike/run at 6:00 p.m. from the Herald Building to Fairhaven (Big Love Juice locations) via Shifting Gears, a new non-profit to promote welcoming recreation. Food available at Big Love Juice and Ovn in Fairhaven. Live music and giveaways from sponsors proceeds the films starting at 9:00 p.m. on the Green. Three all-ages family-friendly 20-minute-long films include: “Shift” of indigenous Yukon youth turning a trail into a world-class mountain biking course, “Choices” of rock climber/base jumper Steph Davis and “The Mirnavator” featuring an inspirational and unique runner. Suggested donation of $5 benefits sponsor CASCADIA International Women’s Film Festival based in Bellingham which celebrates and showcases exceptional films by women.
