Ragfinery – Crazy Quilting

Begin to create a patchwork quilt using modern and traditional methods, and accent it with embroidery and other embellishments. In the first class create a 12” square from fabric scraps on a muslin base. With this technique you will be able to create pillows or a full size quilt. The second class will focus on embellishing with embroidery, beads, lace and ribbon. Several basic embroidery stitches will be demonstrated with time to practice. Learn the techniques and bring them home with you to apply to a larger project.
Participant Materials and Requirements: For the first class feel free to bring an assortment of fabrics you may like to use, embroidery thread, trim,etc. There will be some fabrics and embellishments available. Basic sewing skills required.
