Kid Karaoke with Zach Zinn will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with free entry and beer garden open to 21 and over. Live music entertainment will be from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. This is an all-ages event, everyone is welcome, with a beer garden for those who are 21 years and older with ID.
Make.Shift and the Girls Rock Camp have launched a pilot practice program, providing space for one band from the 2015 Girls Rock Camp to practice at Make.Shift. The band The Ceiling will be the opening band at the Punk Rock Prom event. Other bands playing prom include Couch, The Cure cover band, Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, Prom King, and Girl Guts. This is the first year Make.Shift has put on this event. Whether you want to relive prom, never attended, or just need an excuse to dance, this community event is a great chance for people of all ages to celebrate.
There will be beverages, booths and bands for everyone. The beer garden is sponsored by Ninkasi Brewing, Aslan Brewery, and Kulshan Brewery. Food vendors Simmering Tava and Cicchitti’s Pizza will be on-site for the event. Other prom activities include a photo booth, punk hairstyles from Toni & Guy and live screen printing by Iron Street Printing.
