We are looking forward to partnering with the Whatcom Conservation District along Haynie Creek, home to coho salmon. Join us as we celebrate the return of spawning salmon and learn about how each organization works to protect and restore habitat in Whatcom County.

Parking is available at the Dakota Creek Golf Course at 3258 Haynie Rd, Custer, WA.

***Bonus Event***

Before the Salmon Sighting, join the Whatcom Land Trust at 11 am for a FREE tour of their Fenton Nature Preserve, a 70-acre property home to diverse wildlife and habitat, including a pond, meadow, a portion of Haynie Creek, and a mature forest.

Parking is at Valley View and McGee Rd, Custer, WA. Parking Directions: From Bellingham, take I-5 north to Birch Bay-Lynden Road, and take the exit. Turn right at the stop sign and immediately turn left on Valley View Road. Travel north on Valley View Road for approximately two miles, turn right onto McGee Road, and take an immediate left through a gate to park in the field.
