Semiahmoo Resort, Golf, and Spa is partnering with DeLille Cellars to host an unforgettable Northwest Wine Encounter weekend Friday, April 15 through Sunday, April 17, 2016. Winemakers from DeLille Cellars, Col Solare Winery, Betz Family Winery, and Dobbes Family Estate will be in attendance to pour some of their feature wines, as well as host enlightening wine tasting seminars throughout the weekend.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the seaside Semiahmoo Resort, the educational weekend will begin on Friday with a wine reception, giving guests not only a chance to samples some of the vintners’ favorite wines, but also the opportunity to get to know the stories behind the wines from the vintners themselves.

Saturday’s events will include exploratory seminars with winemakers covering Oregon pinot noir, Washington syrah, Northwest white varietals and the Columbia Valley’s exclusive Red Mountain growing region. The evening will culminate with an intimate vintner’s dinner, expertly crafted by Culinary Director Roy Breiman and Executive Chef Bruno Feldeisen, held on the Peace Arch Dock and Tent. The indulgent five course dinner will be perfectly paired with wines from each attending winery. Seattle Times wine columnist Andy Perdue will host the dinner while delivering tasting notes, his keynote address and answering questions from attendees. Guests will get the opportunity to sleep in on Sunday, before the closing talk on Pacific Northwest white wines begins, with winemakers from each participating winery.
