The Cordata Neighborhood Association celebrates the publication of its history book, “A Beacon of Community Development: The Cordata Neighborhood Association,” at this 7:00 p.m. Literature Live! event at Village Books Readings Gallery. This collaborative effort between author Ralph Myers and Julianna Royal Guy chronicles the catalyst, birth, growth, and development of the Cordata Neighborhood Association. The book narrates the changes brought to the Cordata area and memorializes the efforts of the association’s visionary founders as they advocated for their neighborhood.

Ralph Myers lives in the Cordata neighborhood and is the association’s designated historian. Ralph also serves on the Cordata Neighborhood Association board. He has written and published four other books prior to this one. He donated his time and talents to writing this book and thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Julie Guy, a co-founder of the association, to write the history.
