The Kiwanis Club of Bellingham is excited to announce they will again be partnering with Sehome High School on a compost sale fundraiser benefiting SHS programs and other local youth-centered non-profits.
The sale will feature 40 pound bags of high-quality mushroom compost for $6 each. Bulk orders of 10 bags or more will be $5 per bag. The event will take place on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sehome High School parking lot.
“We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Sehome High School on this project,” Kiwanis President Lisa McCoy said. “This is a great value for gardeners and a way to help many youth in our community at the same time!”
Proceeds from the event will benefit athletics and activities at Sehome High School, as well as many local organizations who help youth in our community. 2017 Beneficiaries include Junior Achievement, the Boys & Girls Club of Whatcom County and Animals as Natural Therapy.
Compost will be sold on a first-come, first serve basis. Questions can be directed toward Stephanie Morrell at kiwanismarketing@gmail.com or 360-201-1548.
