The popular Jansen Jazz Band returns to the Chamber Hall for their winter performance on Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Under the direction of Steve Herrick, this community group performs a new collection of songs in a big band jazz style for each of their concerts.
The program for the April performance features many great tunes and soloists. Mr. Ed Devaney plays the favorite Tower of Power tune, You’re Still A Young Man and drummer Eric Vanerstrom will be featured in Neal Hefty’s Cute. Returning to vocals is Beverly Nelson who will sing The Lady Is A Tramp.
Rounding out the program is the funky chicken song Fowl Play, Brubeck’s Blue Rondo Ala Turk and many other jazz standards.

Tickets for the performance are $10 and are available at the Jansen Art Center or online at www.jansenartcenter.org. Proceeds from the concert fund the continuation of this important community music program.
