Indivisible Rising—A Celebration Of Community Activism is a family-friendly, community-oriented event to connect the members of the public with causes and ideas that they care about. Meet a variety of local civic groups and discover new ways to get involved in your community, plus enjoy food, live music and other activities. It’s all at Maritime Heritage Park on August 13, noon to 4:00 p.m.
Indivisible Rising will feature tables from many local activist, advocacy, health, faith
based, environmental and educational groups, who will have an opportunity to connect with the community and create meaningful civic engagement. Participants who attend will have an unprecedented opportunity to network with one another and the very people who can help them get involved further. Children, adults and families are most welcome.
Many members of Bellingham’s local community are seeking new ways to get involved
in local environmental, social justice and political causes. This wide-ranging event includes
community speakers, tables and stations for many, varied interested groups; a poetry making area for children and adults; food trucks; and music.
Also, Indivisible Bellingham will start the process of creating our proposed public art project, to be installed in the Fall of 2018. There will also be an open place at the celebration for people to note their “Small Victories,” so that we can focus on the positive outcomes of our combined efforts.
The public is invited with open arms to the celebration on Sunday, August 13. For
more information, they may reach Kelly Krieger, kjkrieger27@gmail.com, 206-419-0879.
