Whatcom Literacy Council's 28th Annual Trivia Bee @ Aslan Depot or Online

Join the Whatcom Literacy Council for our 28th annual TRIVIA BEE fundraiser on Thursday, April 18th from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.

Ryan Budds of TRIVIA WITH BUDDS will provide a fast paced and interactive platform for an online trivia night akin to Jeopardy!

Register your team (3 people) on our webpage for $75, or just watch for free.

Teams compete in four rounds on a variety of topics, with the winners going home with the traveling “Totten Trophy.” Because it is a virtual ZOOM event participants can play from anywhere, with answers submitted via cell phone.

For local residents who would like to meet in person Aslan Depot (1322 N State, Bellingham, WA) will be showing the event on a big screen. It is recommended that you arrive around 6pm to find a table and order drinks and food before the game begins at 6:30pm.

Since 1983, the Whatcom Literacy Council has helped hundreds of adults in Whatcom County transform their lives by strengthening their literacy skills with free tutoring and small group classes. Proceeds from the event go directly to programs that help our neighbors here in Whatcom County build skills that help them get jobs and take care of their families.

Please contact us at events@whatcomliteracy.org for information on sponsorships and visit our website whatcomliteracy.org for team registrations. Thank you!

Join us at a Brewery in a galaxy not that far, far away for a night of Star Wars trivia and supporting the pillar in our town that is the Max Higbee Center!

Who is the Max Higbee Center? They’re a local organization here in town with a mission to provide community-based recreation programs for teens and adults with developmental disabilities in three ways:

1. To provide opportunities for personal enjoyment and enrichment through a diverse range of leisure activities.
2. To promote the social, physical, emotional, and cognitive growth and development of participants.
3. To assist participants to achieve greater independence in their lives and increased involvement in the community.

Last year we raised $4,235 and our goal is to beat that this year with a total of $5,000 or more.
