The world premiere of a new play by Sylvia Center Artistic Director Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao, UNSTABLE BY DESIGN follows the manic mind of an ad-writing intern named Alyssa, whose journey from intervention to creative rebirth is accompanied by therapy, medication, and a group of hallucinated companions including Charles Baudelaire, Emily Dickinson, Andy Warhol, Boudica, Henry David Thoreau, and Friedrich Nietzsche.

Featuring local actors Melanie Strickland, Michael Morgen, Cindy Whiston, Ivan Sandomire, Bradley Dillon, Kyler Weeks, and Siara Lindholm.

Similar to other legendary rock and roll neighborhoods of the same era—like Haight Ashbury in San Francisco or Greenwich Village in NYC—Laurel Canyon was a community of artists who would forge the new genre of folk rock. Enjoy the music of bands like the Mamas and the Papas; the Byrds; Buffalo Springfield; the Doors; Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young; James Taylor; Carole King; Joni Mitchell; Jackson Browne; Linda Ronstadt; and America.

Beneath the glittering chandeliers, we invite your family to waltz the enchanting day away with all 16 of our magical Princesses. Upon entering the stunning Majestic Ballroom in Bellingham you will be welcomed by the beloved Fairy Godmother and led into an elegant hall seemingly taken from the page of a storybook. Signaling their grand entrance, the enchanting music will begin to play and the Princesses and Princes will make their royal arrival upon the stage.

As if they were once upon a dream, the next 2 wonderful hours will be filled with magnificent vocal performances, dazzling dancing, delicious desserts, professional photo opportunities and irreplaceable memories that will last a lifetime.

We will have two spectacular sessions to choose from:

Afternoon Session: May 18th, 2019, 1:30-3:30
Evening Session: May 18th, 2019, 5:00-7:00
