Led by Deming Library staff Erin Suda and Katrina Carabba at the local North Fork Brewery. the book club meets on the third Tuesday of every month.

Looking for a way to use up all the herbs in your summer garden? Cindy McKinney demonstrates a variety of pestos for you to sample including a classic basil pesto with hazelnuts; a sun-dried tomato pesto layered into a make ahead cheese and Feta appetizer; quesadillas with a cilantro/jalapeño/walnut pesto; and a pasta salad with parsley pecan pesto. Plus learn lots of ideas for using your pesto. Space is limited, registration required. Call the library to register.

Come learn how easy and fun it is to make your own sauerkraut. In days before grocery stores, we fermented produce to make it last, not knowing that it was good for us! Recent research suggests that fermented products can help gut biomes and improve health. No fancy equipment required. Samples will be available for tasting. Presented by Blaine C.O.R.E. (Community Orchards for Resources and Education).
