LYSISTRATA a play by Aristophanes @ iDiOM Theater
Mar 28 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
LYSISTRATA a play by Aristophanes @ iDiOM Theater

Those Brazen Wenches Theatre Company presents Lysistrata by Aristophanes, adapted by Rosalind Reynolds and directed by Ashley Albertson.
Performances March 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, and 30, at 7:30pm
iDiOM Theater
1417 Cornwall, Bellingham.
Tickets $15, students $10
TICKETS: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/idiomtheater/1169002
Hailed as the first literary battle of the sexes, this rollicking farce sees the women of Greece losing patience with a seemingly endless war. They hatch a flawless plan: no sex until their husbands agree to a peace deal. But the men aren’t about to take this lying down…or are they? The enduring relevance of Aristophanes’s raunchy comedy attests to the universal human fascination with war, sex, and penis
jokes.
Two-time winner of the Serial Killers tournament of serialized theater, and former playwright-in-residence at the iDiOM Theater, Rosalind Reynolds is the author of many plays, including Godlike, Julian the Humble, and Men of Parts. A founding member of the Unsubdued Theatre Collective, Ashley Albertson has directed many shows for the local stage, including The Odyssey, Eleemosynary, and Branwen Spikes the Drink.
Lysistrata is the third offering from Those Brazen Wenches Theatre Company, which aims to smash the patriarchy in entertaining ways.
Featuring:
Kharma Stambaugh
Dawn Hunter
