Growing Veterans Annual Plant Sale @ Bellewood Acres

Growing Veterans Annual Plant Sale – Huge selection of organic plants starts, grown locally by veterans. Large variety of heirloom and organic tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, herbs and more. Bellewood Acres will have family fun activities all weekend including Easter egg hunt, petting zoo, Easter bunny, brunch and more. All proceeds from the plant sale help support Growing Veterans dirt therapy programs.

Street Law is a free, drop-in, legal advice clinic where people can ask questions and get legal advice in one-on-one consultations with volunteer lawyers. Demand for this clinic is high, so we recommend that attendees arrive on time to ensure being seen by an attorney. The Easter bunny has decided to pay a visit to the Bellingham Beer Garden. How do we know? Because in his hopping, he has carelessly misplaced a few precious eggs!

Come join us on the afternoon of Saturday 4/20 for a fun and family-friendly Easter egg hunt! We’ll have hunts for all age groups. Bring your furry friends for a doggie treat hunt too. We’ll have face painting, balloon art, a photo booth, and more.

This event supports the Sunnyland PTA, and they will be on hand to accept donations. Admission is free and open to all, so hop on down to Twin Sisters for a fun family gathering!

Swing class focuses on East Coast Swing, Charleston, Lindy Hop, and the solo jazz roots of the early swing era. We’ll be learning vintage line dances and their solo jazz steps along with the fundamentals of partner dancing. Each class will teach an element of swing technique in the context of a new move. No partner necessary.

Shibashi is one of the most popular qigong sets in the world and can be performed seated or standing. This session will lead the participants through 18 movements that are gentle and peaceful. With a focus on breathing, the movements may reduce stress; improve concentration, calm emotions, increase energy and overall flexibility leading to better health and wellbeing. Chair Tai Chi uses all of the concepts and flowing choreographed movements of standing Tai Chi except it is performed in a seated position. It is often called “Meditation in Motion” because it connects the mind and the body to achieve health and well-being. Chair Chi, as it is often called, is an excellent exercise for people who may have concerns about balance and want to improve their stability. In this session, the presenter will teach the participants a set of movements that can be done at home. Take-home materials will be provided.
