Growing Veterans Annual Plant Sale @ Bellewood Acres

Growing Veterans Annual Plant Sale – Huge selection of organic plants starts, grown locally by veterans. Large variety of heirloom and organic tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, herbs and more. Bellewood Acres will have family fun activities all weekend including Easter egg hunt, petting zoo, Easter bunny, brunch and more. All proceeds from the plant sale help support Growing Veterans dirt therapy programs.

Earth Day Community Work Party @ Fairhaven Park

Come celebrate Earth Day with the City of Bellingham Parks Department & Public Works Natural Resources Division on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Fairhaven Park! We’ll be enhancing streamside habitat along Padden Creek by removing invasive plants and applying mulch. We will work until noon and then enjoy free pizza donated by Papa John’s. All ages welcome, no experience necessary.

We provide the gloves and tools but make sure you have long pants, close-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Don’t forget your water and a snack. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need to bring a completed Youth Liability Release Form to the event.

The Easter bunny has decided to pay a visit to the Bellingham Beer Garden. How do we know? Because in his hopping, he has carelessly misplaced a few precious eggs!

Come join us on the afternoon of Saturday 4/20 for a fun and family-friendly Easter egg hunt! We’ll have hunts for all age groups. Bring your furry friends for a doggie treat hunt too. We’ll have face painting, balloon art, a photo booth, and more.

This event supports the Sunnyland PTA, and they will be on hand to accept donations. Admission is free and open to all, so hop on down to Twin Sisters for a fun family gathering!

NSEA is proud to present the First Earth Day Wild & Scenic Film Festival at the Mount Baker Theater. Considered one of the nation’s premier environmental and adventure film festivals, these films combine beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling to inform, inspire and ignite possibilities to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for us all.

COME FOR THE FILMS ONLY OR ENHANCE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH A $10 MEMBERSHIP DONATION AND RECEIVE A KLEAN KANTEEN PINT GLASS.

Visit the Walton Theatre to see what a dozen of our non-profit partners are doing to shape the culture of Whatcom County. Plus, there are prizes to be won! 20 of our economic partners have donated over $1,600 in prizes to the raffle!
