Local award-winning Welcome Road Winery’s tasting room in downtown Bellingham welcomes Seattle-based singer/songwriter/saxophonist, Trevor Ras, for an evening of original and cover songs. There will be no cover and all are welcome and encouraged to stop in from 6-8p, as space allows.
Trevor Ras has been playing music since he picked up his grandfather’s saxophone and started honking on it at age 10. His catchy melodies, thoughtful lyrics and soulful saxophone blend with a passion for sailing the Salish Sea, yacht rock (of course), and campfire sing-a-longs. This gives Trevor a unique style- one that lands him comfortably between Ed Sheeren, Jimmy Buffett, and Van Morrison. Whether solo or with the band, his live shows bring a special energy- great music combined with an honest, interactive, light-hearted approach that draws audiences in and leaves them smiling.
Trevor Ras is no stranger to the music industry. Originally from Seattle, he spent most of his formative musical years based in Portland, OR as a sideman and saxophone player, touring up and down the I-5 corridor with regional acts like Big Time Rosie, Life After Liftoff and Jesus Presley. During his time in Portland, he played for President Clinton, opened for and played with Steve Miller, Bo Diddley, Fishbone, Pink Martini, and many others. He spent several years in L.A., touring with national up-and-comers while working as a music publicist in Hollywood. Since settling in Seattle more than 15 years ago, he has played with numerous bands throughout the Seattle and Portland area, but enjoys nothing more than sitting on a boat or beach in the San Juans, strumming his guitar while watching his kids play.
