Sue C. Boynton Poetry Contest-Enter Today!

The Annual Sue C. Boynton Poetry Contest is accepting entries for their 2026 competition. This is the 21st year of the contest and each year about 250 Whatcom County residents participate. Individuals of all ages can send a poem to SueCBoynton@gmail.com between March 1 – 31. Submission guidelines must be met and can be found at: thepoetrydepartment.wordpress.com/contest
The contest culminates with an award ceremony at Bellingham Cruise Terminal on May 28 at 7pm. The event is free. Following the ceremony, selected poems will appear on placards surrounding Bellingham Public Library downtown, and on Whatcom Transportation Authority buses.
