Unsubdued Theatre Collective Sinks Its Teeth Into Valentine’s Season with “Love Sucks: A Vampire Valentine’s Day Revue”
Ten original short plays explore the eternal complications of love, death, and everything in between
When love and immortality collide, things are bound to get messy. This February, the Unsubdued Theatre Collective presents “Love Sucks: A Vampire Valentine’s Day Revue”. Enjoy ten original short plays that prove romance is complicated enough without adding fangs to the equation.
From mysterious strangers at the crossroads, to a star-crossed romance between a vampire and werewolf, to a family of bats working through their own romantic entanglements, “Love Sucks” offers a fresh bite on matters of the heart. Each piece is written and performed by local actors and playwrights, showcasing the vibrant theatrical talent within the Bellingham community.
“‘Love Sucks’ is our valentine to anyone who loves a compelling story,” says showrunner Danielle Phillips. “Whether you’re undead or just dead tired of dating apps, this show reminds us that affairs of the heart are universally complicated.”
The revue features an eclectic mix of horror, humor, and drama, perfect for audiences looking to celebrate Valentine’s season with something a little less conventional.
