Every great story has a beginning, and ours was in the family garage. As Barron Heating AC Electrical & Plumbing enters its 55th year, we’re taking a moment to look back at how our family’s leap of faith became a trusted name in heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and solar services across Northwest Washington.
Four Generations of Hustle and Heart
Working in the trades since the early 1950s, Dan Barron learned the craft as an apprentice, guided by the expertise of his own father, a journeyman sheet metal worker. After years of hard work, he and his wife Vivian decided to take a chance on a business of their own.
In those early days, there was no showroom, no fleet of trucks, and no corporate office. The family garage was the shop, and the kitchen table was where they did the paperwork. Every job was personal, every customer was a neighbor, and a reputation for honest work was one of the most valuable things they owned. Those humble beginnings still shape who we are today.
In 1972, Barron Heating was born, and Dan began installing fireplaces in one of Whatcom County’s newest developments: Sudden Valley. Building the business from the ground up, Dan took great pride in his craftsmanship, with a tradition of quality, attention to detail, and true customer care. Barron Heating continued growing its services and strengthening its reputation under the leadership of John Barron, Dan and Vivian’s son, and today, John’s son Brad Barron carries that legacy forward as CEO, making Barron a proud four-generation, family-owned and operated company.
