Whatcom Young Professionals will host their annual fundraiser on Thursday, September 5th from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Fishermen’s Pavilion, benefitting the Max Higbee Center. The retro-themed event will feature food trucks, ice cream, local beer & cider, a DJ dance party, and raffles for over $2,500 in gift certificates donated by local businesses.
Funds raised from the event will support recreation programs for teens & adults with developmental disabilities. “As young professionals we have a vested interest in our community, and we’re so excited to support the Max Higbee Center as an organization making Bellingham a better place for everyone to live, work, and play, said Jessie Pemble, Whatcom Young Professionals Advisory Council Member. “We hope people will come out and get groovy with us for a great cause!
Admission is $20 and includes a drink ticket (beer, cider, or non-alcoholic) and can be purchased at whatcomyp.com, or at the door for $25. Max Higbee Center members & families can attend for free but are encouraged to register online in advance.
