Has your business been financially impacted by COVID-19? If you operate within Whatcom County, there is still time to apply to our Whatcom ReStart Business Assistance Grants (deadline 7/31 11:59PM PST) and the Whatcom ReStart Licensed Childcare Provider Grants (deadline 8/7 11:59PM PST)!
The Whatcom ReStart grant team is dedicated to be making the grant program and application process inclusive and equitable for all small businesses. As a result, the way businesses report their total number of employees has been updated. Total employee count is calculated by adding full time employees plus the average weekly hours for PT employees (total hours per week divided by 40 hrs). This new calculation will enable many of our businesses who employ a larger part time work forces, such as restaurants and bars, to qualify for this grant.
