Demonstrating its support for the mission and role of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County (BGCWC) in providing a safe, positive, and nurturing place for kids, the Mount Baker Foundation has awarded $40,000 in grant funding to BGCWC for its efforts through the COVID 19 pandemic.

These funds will help BGCWC continue to provide all-day licensed childcare at four locations for the children of essential workers while enforcing safe-distancing and sanitary measures in accordance with all current local, state and federal mandates.

In addition to onsite childcare, BGCWC is providing 1,000 Grab & Go meals per week for kids ages 3-18, distributed from our Bellingham Club site, from 5-6 pm, on Tuesdays and Fridays each week.

We have also launched an online Virtual Club to allow kids to stay connected to Club staff and engaged in a variety of enrichment activities each day.  This new Virtual Club is accessible from our website: www.whatcomclubs.org.

BGCWC was founded in 1946 with the mission of enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
