Whatcom County Library System would like to congratulate Afton Rader of Ferndale, winner of the My Modern Library giveaway basket of prizes worth $670. Afton is a Whatcom County native, originally from Deming and now living in Ferndale with her husband, Douglas Rader.
When she saw the My Modern Library promotion, Afton immediately began doing all the various online challenges to enter, like sharing on the WCLS Facebook page and logging into various online library services. The only challenge she didn’t complete was getting her library card – since she already has one! Afton was genuinely surprised by the wide variety of interesting digital services offered by WCLS, like music streaming and downloads, and learning a language online.
WCLS received nearly 19,000 entries for the My Modern Library Giveaway, and people took more than 9,000 actions online in support of WCLS. To everyone that participated, we send a huge “thank you” for learning more about your library!
