The Lights of Christmas is the largest holiday festival in the Pacific Northwest with over ONE MILLION lights, five entertainment stages, children’s activities, food and more! 21 nights in December 2018; 5-10 p.m. $16 ages 13-59, $13 seniors and military, $12 ages 4-12, and ages 3 and under are free. Overnight packages also available.

Dates: Nov. 29-Dec. 2, 6-9, 13-16, 19-23, 26-29

A Christmas Carol…More or Less – This humorous twist on a Christmas favorite, by Stefano LoVerso and Mary Irey, tells the story of a small theater group faced with the impossible, while “the show must go on.” What twists and turns are in store for our cast as they overcome one surprise after another? Holiday cheer for ages eight and up.

Bring the family out to beautiful downtown Blaine for this family friendly fun dash. A 1.5 mile obstacle run starts off the festivities at 3:00 p.m. at the H Street Plaza, H Street & Peace Portal Drive, Blaine, WA. Day of registration opens at 2:00 p.m. Sponsored by the Blaine Chamber of Commerce, Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2 and Let’s Move Blaine, the course charges up H Street traversing local streets and returning to G Street Plaza. You can either run or walk this course! Click here for a map. Families are encouraged to dress in holiday attire! Medals awarded to the first 100 finishers! Strollers, wagons or sleighs on wheels welcomed for the younger family members.

Every ticket purchase supports youth scholarships and community access to Bellingham Bay. Enjoy an evening of live jazz, dancing, a catered buffet, a dessert dash, a raffle and wine by Samson Winery, while helping to open the portal to the inspiration and excitement of the Bay. By purchasing a ticket, you help to remove financial barriers for youth, support diversity and inclusivity, and strengthen our community through shared activities and experiences on the water. Put on your favorite holiday costume. Tie jingle bells to your shoelaces. ’Tis the season to live it up and be jolly for a reason! Bring a team of friends, family and co-workers to run or walk, spread smiles and good cheer … and be a Champion of Yes! 100 percent of your registration fee and fundraising efforts go to this great cause. Costume contest, kids fun run, 5k run or walk, dog trot. Register early for a discount. Volunteers are always welcome.

The Whatcom Hills Waldorf School’s annual Holiday Faire is a wonder-full way for families to enjoy the spirit of the holidays with live music, magical lands, delicious food, local craft vendors and hands-on workshops. Crafting workshops feature natural materials and include rolling beeswax candles, wooden ornaments, felt projects and translucent paper stars to color your windows. Visit the Snow Queen in her castle, dig for crystals in Gnome Village, watch an enchanting puppet play or warm up with delicious homemade soup, baked goods and live music in the Wooden Spoon Cafe. Everyone welcome!

Prices of activities vary from $1 – $4.

Parking: Free parking is available at The Firs at 4605 Cable St. A free shuttle brings people to and from the school.

Come experience the true spirit of the holiday season with the gift of giving through song at the first annual Fairhaven Fa-La-La Caroling Competition and Fundraiser.
Winterfest-goers and local celebrity judges will take to the streets of Fairhaven Village to experience a holiday banquet of 20 or more caroling “groups,” performing for an hour on the streets of Fairhaven. In addition, the caroling groups will be engaging in “Fa-La-Lanthropy,” raising raising money for the Historic Fairhaven Association and Northwest Youth Services.
During the caroling event, the public will have the opportunity to give donations in “Fa-La-Lanthropy” boxes at each caroling group’s sidewalk site.
