A Fairhaven restaurant is meeting the demand for live music and safe socializing by launching a beer and wine garden Friday, May 28.

Skylark’s Hidden Café, a favorite of local residents and tourists since 1995, is opening the outdoor garden from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through September. The first live music performance there will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, May 29 and feature rock ‘n’ roll music from The Three Radicals.

The outdoor garden at 1311 10th St. will offer local beers, wine, seltzers and to-go food from Skylark’s. The garden will be covered by a tent previously used on the restaurant’s patio, which will remain open for sun lovers, Haggen said.
