Come for a morning of creating your own “dream boards.” No experience needed. We will end the party with a gallery walk and admire each other’s masterpieces. Supplies will be provided. It would be helpful if you bring scissors and magazines, if possible. Feel free to bring a sack lunch or a snack. Tea and coffee provided. Registration is required, as space is limited to 15. Age limit 16 and older.

Cut It Out! Exploring Collage and Mixed Media

Class Date: Wednesday, July 28 from 10:00am-12:00pm

Instructor: Jill Roderick

Designed with beginners in mind, your child will learn what a collage is, explore creative collage ideas, and apply basic collage techniques to complete a fun and unique piece of art at their level. We’ll use a variety of papers and other “fun junk” to create an animal collage of the student’s choice. We’ll look at a few famous artists who have used mixed media collage and evaluate what makes artwork exciting and successful. This workshop allows lots of creative freedom, along with skills needed to begin an artistic journey into self-expression, reflection, and creative “outside the box” thinking!

AGES:
Kids 6 – 10

$25.00

CLASS SIZE:
Maximum 10 students.

MATERIALS:
No fee, materials included with class price.

PROTOCOLS:
Masks are required for all participants and instructors.

Join accomplished artist Candice Christie in the Refind Creations Studio for a workshop on the art of collage, monoprinting and creativity.

You will finish with an 8×8 original piece of art to take home along with gelli plate prints.
