The Ferndale Street Festival is in it’s 13th year and we are extremely proud to have claimed the title of 2011, 2012 and 2015 “Ferndale’s Best Community Event.” This year’s MUSIC is top of the line with a mix of Whatcom County’s most talented band and the Festival doesn’t end there. With an entire block dedicated to the family and kids with their own Live Stage acts, a car show, various food outlets, vendors of all trades and a wine & beer tent, there is almost not enough time to take it all in!
With something happening every where you turn you can come and go as you please and never see the same thing twice so plan to spend the entire day and take in everything downtown Ferndale has to offer. There will be several outdoor seating venues for the over 21 crowd at local restaurants and plenty of sales with the local retail stores. So rain or shine, it’s all happening on Main Street where we shut it all down from traffic and have ourselves a fantastic time!

A Fairhaven restaurant is meeting the demand for live music and safe socializing by launching a beer and wine garden Friday, May 28.
Skylark’s Hidden Café, a favorite of local residents and tourists since 1995, is opening the outdoor garden from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through September. The first live music performance there will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, May 29 and feature rock ‘n’ roll music from The Three Radicals.
“We know Bellingham residents can’t wait for the return of live music and our local groups need venues to play,” said Brad Haggen, owner of Skylark’s Hidden Café. “The outdoor garden below our patio and behind the restaurant will be a great place for summer relaxation and entertainment.”
The outdoor garden at 1311 10th St. will offer local beers, wine, seltzers and to-go food from Skylark’s. The garden will be covered by a tent previously used on the restaurant’s patio, which will remain open for sun lovers, Haggen said.
Skylark’s Hidden Café is located at 1308 11th St., serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, call (360) 715-3642 or visit www.skylarkshiddencafecom.
