Springfest Art Show 2016 @ Blaine Pavilion | Blaine | Washington | United States

The Blaine Harbor Art Gallery is a showcase of artists and artisans from Blaine WA and the surrounding communities of Whatcom County in Washington State.

Springfest is an annual celebration of art and creativity produced by the artist members of Blaine Harbor Art Gallery.

See the artworks of 20+ creative artists at the new Blaine WA Pavilion, and tour the art studios of local Blaine artists – painters, printers, jewelry makers, artisan garden decor, glass artists, fiber artists, wood crafts, soaps, and more. Meet the artists, learn about their inspirations, buy artwork and gifts and hear live local music.

While visting Blaine WA for Springfest 2016, stop for fresh oysters at the Drayton Harbor Oyster Company, indulge in delicious ice cream at Edaleen Dairy, have coffee and well crafted sandwiches at Peace Arch Cafe and/or The Little Red Caboose. Satruday morning is the opening of the Blaine Gardeners Market on Peace Portal Drive. For lunch, try Big Al’s Diner, another local favorite as is Lizzie’s Cafe for crispy, savory fish and chips (and more). After visting the art show and artist studios, take a walk in the waterfront park at Blaine Harbor then head out to Semiahmoo Resort for a glass of wine on the waterfront or stay for a delicious dinner at either Packers Oyster Bar or Pierside Kitchen.

Make it a day of local art and fun and good food in Blaine Washington.

When you RSVP on Eventbrite and bring your “ticket” to the event you’ll be entered into a drawing for a work of art by one of the Blaine Harbor Art Gallery artist members. A ticket is not required to attend this event.

Cooper Lanza’s latest solo art exhibition,“Twins,” is showing at Tillie Lace Gallery in Bellingham, WA. In her artist statement, Cooper writes: “This series is a fun collection of doubles. “Twins” is about the duality I think that we all feel within us… the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly.”

The dates for this show are July 2, 2016, through August 31, 2016. The gallery is located at 1415 13th St in Fairhaven. Tillie Lace Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Join accomplished artist Candice Christie in the Refind Creations Studio for a workshop on the art of collage, monoprinting and creativity.

There will be two sessions – 10am-2pm – Saturday August 6 and August 13 – you must enroll for both at refind-creations.coursestorm.com

Cost to participate in both sessions is $185 and covers all materials

You will finish with an 8×8 original piece of art to take home along with gelli plate prints.
