The Girl Who Recycled 1 Million Cans — Recycling & Book Fair Event @ Hotel Bellwether Ballroom, Squalicum Harbor, Bellingham

Help the oceans and our local orcas and Chinook salmon! KIDS bring your aluminum cans to the Books By the Bay Book Fair to recycle with KIDS SCRAP UNIVERSITY! At Scrap University Kids we want to teach kids that ALL metal can be recycled and that their everyday actions can make a lasting impact on the environment.
The GIRL WHO RECYCLED 1 MILLION CANS will be read by the author, Jessica Alexanderson. Jessica is an avid Scuba Diver and underwater photographer in Seattle, WA! She left her job of 15 years in the container shipping industry to work with Kids Scrap University after seeing so much trash in the waters.
Bring your cans to be recycled, hear Jessica reading her story at 2 p.m., and join her for fun activities about protecting our planet. Books By the Bay is managed by Village Books and hosted by Chanticleer Reviews & Media.
