Body Mind Spirit Fair @ Center for Spiritual Living
Jul 23 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Body Mind Spirit Fair @ Center for Spiritual Living | Bellingham | Washington | United States

The Annual Mind, Body, Spirit Fair is a glorious gathering of those who support the healing and revealing of vibrant health and well-being for humans and animals. There are energy healers, merchants with products to support wellness, authors and speakers, psychics, mediums and many others who offer healing modalities. There are many Fairs of this type in our area, but we feel that the Center for Spiritual Living Bellingham’s offering is unique for several reasons.

Perhaps the loveliest difference is that our Fair is offered in the heart of our beautiful outdoor campus. Vendor booths are located either in our indoor classroom or Sanctuary space, or outside on our upper and lower lawns. The beauty of the Center’s natural setting enhances the entire experience you will have at this Fair.

In addition, our interest in hosting our Fair is caring connection. We operate from a belief that “what we focus attention on, we bring about.” We are a thriving spiritual community interested in personal as well as global healing. We believe we support healing for our local community and throughout the world!

Chair Tai Chi @ Bellingham Public Library
May 3 @ 3:00 pm – 3:45 pm

Chair Tai Chi uses all of the concepts and flowing choreographed movements of standing Tai Chi except it is performed in a seated position. Chair Tai Chi is a good mind body exercise for people of all ages. It is often called “Meditation in Motion” because it connects the mind and the body to achieve health and well-being. Chair Chi, as it is often called, is an excellent exercise for people who may have concerns about balance and want to improve their stability. For some, these concerns arise after a fall and worry that it might happen again. For others, arthritis or other physical issues prevent standing and moving for lengths of time. Chair Chi is perfect for people who live in small places but want to do a daily exercise. In this session, the presenter will teach the participants a set of movements that can be done at home.

Virtual Event: Dick Cathell, The Gift of Becoming: Fulfilling 9 Basic Needs for Enhanced Living @ Village Books Crowdcast Channel

The life of every human sees hardship at times. A tragedy can spark questions it seems no one can answer. As a hospital chaplain, Dick Cathell’s job required him to be present in circumstances that were unbearable and unfathomable. How does one console the parents of a four-year-old mauled by a dog or the spouse of a recently-retired heart-attack victim? In this, his first book, Mr. Cathell writes a moving collection of stories, poems, and vignettes resulting from nearly four decades of heartbreaking encounters that all came as “part of the job”. Through his experiences, Mr. Cathell discovered nine basic needs essential for coping with others’ grief, as well as his own.
Dick Cathell, Ph.D., M.Div., BCC is President of Resources for Enhanced Living LLC. He has served 37 years as a hospital chaplain in Okinawa and the U.S., with leadership roles in chaplain and ministry associations. Mr. Cathell has also been endorsed and ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He lives with his wife, Karlene, in Bellingham, WA overlooking the San Juan Islands.
