Ride the Lake Whatcom Railway historic train with passenger cars that have been in service for over one hundred years to the Easter Egg Hunting grounds, where the Easter Egg Hunts will happen. Arrive 45 minutes early to tour the grounds and inspect the grand collection of heritage railroad equipment from a bygone era.

We appreciate you, and the Easter Bunny does,too! He’s been busy hiding eggs filled with candy and other treats for you to find at our Easter EggHunt. We’ll have face painting, balloons, and treats for kids of all ages, including pictures with the Easter Bunny himself! Be sure to hop on by and check it out. This is more than an Easter Egg hunt. The Bellingham at Orchard is a memory care community dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents, who have Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
The Easter Bunny will lead Lake Whatcom Railway passengers on authentic Pullman Co. passenger cars to a special Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 8.
The Easter Bunny Train will depart from Wickersham Station, just off State Route 9 and four miles south of Acme, at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. Passengers and the Easter Bunny will listen to live banjo music while riding on a Pullman car built between 1910 and 1912 and formerly used by the Northern Pacific Railway.
After a four-mile ride to a meadow, children will participate in an Easter egg hunt before returning on the train to Wickersham.
Tickets are available only through advance purchase at www.LakeWhatcomRailway.com and the Lake Whatcom Railway’s Facebook page. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 2-17. Babies and toddlers younger than 2 years old ride for free. Passengers are asked to arrive 30-45 minutes before departure, giving them time to check in and view a 100-year-old steam engine locomotive.
The Lake Whatcom Railway is operated by Frank Culp and other volunteers who keep the train operating so people can relive a time from America’s past. Wickersham Station is less than 30 miles east of Bellingham via SR 542 and SR 9 and just 20 miles north of Mount Vernon via SR 20 and SR 9.
Calling all Trail Builders, Mountain Bikers, Hikers and Galbraith Mountain lovers! We need volunteers! Join us for our first trail building day on our recently adopted, well-loved Cedar Dust on Galbraith Mountain.
This is a family-friendly event! We’re bringing along our house-made Root Beer and lunch for our helpers and will be hosting kid-friendly and adult-friendly egg hunts!

A fun Community Easter Egg Hunt for families with kids ages 0-12 years old. Come rain or shine to hunt for over 1,000 eggs, including several golden eggs with prizes for each age group. There will even be a lamb petting area! Bring your cameras and enjoy the festivities!

Hoppy Easter! Celebrate Easter with St. Francis of Bellingham Avamere! Residents and staff at this local skilled nursing facility are excited to welcome you into our facility for this free, fun, family friendly event, for all ages! The egg hunt will begin at 1:30pm. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will start at 1:30pm as well. There will be several activity stations located around our beautiful backyard, as well as food & beverages available for purchase.
